A devilishly hot weekend was the setting for the TSA tournament in Tucson (Sept 18-19) but the heat didn’t slow down the Sereno ’99 girls. They found the back of the net an impressive 14 times in four games and let in only 2. The championship game was a nail biter. Our girls tied the SC del Sol team in regular play, putting the teams into the second shoot out of the weekend. It wasn’t a storybook ending for Sereno. The del Sol goalie stopped enough PKs to steal the gold from our girls. But 2^nd is still sweet and these young soccer stars have a lot to be proud of. The tournament marks a good start to the season and has us looking forward to the great soccer to come. Go Sereno!
